View: Laughable report linking John Terry with West Brom role should be ignored

West Brom manager Slaven Bilic came out fighting this week.

The Croatian was under threat at the Hawthorns, with the Mirror claiming that he could be sacked if his Baggies side fell to a heavy defeat against Spurs.

Lee Bowyer was lined up as a replacement, but the Albion battled all the way and fell to an unfortunate defeat when they should have won.

The laughable links haven’t stopped there though.

According to the Daily Mail, West Brom could target a move for Aston Villa assistant manager John Terry should he leave their rivals.

It is suggested that Dean Smith wouldn’t stand in his way, with Derby another potential destination for the former Chelsea man.

There are strong expectations that Terry will take up the main role somewhere in the future, and that could be sooner rather than later.

Slav is still the man

Bilic has been saying all the right things this week, and his passion has clearly gone through the rest of the side.

West Brom put in one of their best displays of the season and proved that they still believe in what the Croatian is trying to achieve at the Hawthorns.

To get rid of him now and bring in either Terry or Bowyer would be ludicrous.

Neither have had experience of managing in the Premier League and when you are in a relegation battle, that is the first thing that you need.

Bilic has been there and done it with West Ham in the past, and it is time for him to roll up his sleeves and prove he is the best for the job between now and May.
