‘Inevitable yellow’, ‘Can’t deal’ – These Man United fans don’t want 20y/o to start v WBA

West Brom travel to Manchester United on Saturday still searching for their first Premier League win of the season.

Callum Robinson, Branislav Ivanovic and Matheus Pereira should have recovered from COVID-19, meaning Slaven Bilic should have a fully-fit squad.

The same can not be said for Manchester United and Ole Gunnar-Solskjaer.

Luke Shaw, Phil Jones and Jesse Lingard are confirmed absentees, and both Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood could also miss out.

New signing Alex Telles was set to start against the Baggies, but reports have surfaced that he has tested positive for COVID-19 on international duty with Brazil.

Manchester United have released a statement on Monday, claiming that Telles could still start the game despite these reports.

“United’s medical staff at the Aon Training Complex are monitoring the situation in Brazil and will make an assessment when Telles returns to England later this week,” they wrote.

“It is still hoped our recent signing from Porto will be available to play in Saturday’s Premier League match against West Brom at Old Trafford.”

That would likely mean that young defender Brandon Williams would come into the side, and based on the reaction, West Brom could definitely take advantage of that.

Many Manchester United fans have reacted to the statement on Telles and voiced their concern over the youngster potentially starting.

The majority claimed that the left-back is a walking red card, and could leave the Red Devils significantly weaker in defence.
