Man United receive injury boost ahead of clash v West Brom
Manchester United attacker Mason Greenwood has been pictured training, despite reports suggesting that he would not be fit to face West Brom on Saturday.
talkSPORT reported earlier this week that Greenwood and teammate Marcus Rashford could both miss the match at Old Trafford.
However, pictures of the England man training have since emerged on social media, which suggests that he could be in with a chance of starting.
Having the attacker available would be a big bonus for United, especially if they are without Rashford. Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani could start alongside the 18-year-old, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can also call upon Odion Ighalo.
The Red Devils have scored 12 goals from their opening seven matches of the season, but have conceded 14 times and will definitely be without left-back Luke Shaw (via Sky Sports).
Meanwhile, West Brom have no fresh injuries concerns, with long-term absentees Sam Field and Hal Robson-Kanu not yet ready to return. Callum Robinson, Branislav Ivanovic and Matheus Pereira should all be available after testing positive for COVID-19 (via Premier Injuries).
While a trip to Old Trafford would usually be an incredibly intimidating prospect, the Baggies should go there with some hope of securing a result.
With no crowds the atmosphere is far less of a factor, while United have picked up just one point from their opening four home Premier League fixtures, losing three times already (via WhoScored).
With Karlan Grant, Robinson, Grady Diangana and Pereira, Slaven Bilic has the attacking players that can hurt Solskjaer’s vulnerable defence, but he needs to trust in his own backline to do so.
West Brom were far more solid at the back in their last game against Spurs and a repeat of that performance could see them in with a shout of getting a result in Manchester.
