West Brom forward Callum Robinson has returned a negative COVID-19 test ahead of the trip to Manchester United.
BBC Sport have reported that the Irishman is clear to feature at Old Trafford on Saturday evening if called upon by Slaven Bilic.
Robinson initially tested positive for the virus last week on Monday, something which forced him to drop out of international duty and into quarantine.
Bilic commented on the 25-year-old on Thursday morning, claiming that he is fit and returned a negative test last night.
“He is fit, he did a test last night and the results came this morning. He is negative so we are hoping to see today, but they should be okay,” he said via RTE.
Along with Matheus Pereira and Branislav Ivanovic, Robinson should be returning to training either later today or on Friday ahead of the trip.
It would be a massive boost for the Baggies, although they could just be replacing other players who have since tested positive – with Bilic dropping that bombshell.
Bilic will be delighted to have three of his better players available this week, but a nervous wait will continue until the other players’ identities have been revealed.
For Robinson, this is perfect though. Being given the all-clear for this weekend means that he will not have missed any Premier League action because of the international break.
The Baggies will now be able to field the same side that pushed Spurs all of the way in the 1-0 defeat last time out, a clash they deserved much more in.
A trip to Old Trafford won’t be easy, but the Red Devils are missing numerous players and the Baggies are welcoming many of their stronger options back – game on.
