‘Grind out another win’ – Michael Owen predicts West Brom clash v Crystal Palace
Michael Owen has predicted that West Brom will fall to defeat against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday.
Owen believes that the Eagles will leave the Hawthorns will all three points after a 1-0 win due to their ability to grind out results.
The Baggies go into this on the back of their first win of the season against Sheffield United last weekend after Conor Gallagher’s long-range strike.
Writing in his Bet Victor predictions column, Owen claimed that hope and belief won’t be enough for the Albion this weekend.
“West Brom got a huge result against Sheffield United last week,” he wrote.
“That’ll have given the Baggies a bit of hope and belief, however, Crystal Palace have shown time-after-time that they can get results away from home against teams in and around them.
“With that in mind, I think Palace can grind out another win here in a low scoring contest.”
Slaven Bilic has seen a massive response from his side after asking them for more fight before the defeat against Spurs. Defeats against Tottenham and Manchester United were finally followed by that win.
West Brom still need to improve though, after they were lucky to get three points. The Blades had 21 shots on goal and missed numerous clear-cut chances at the Hawthorns.
Should that happen again, Palace could punish the Baggies, and with the return of Wilfried Zaha, there is one more player that they must keep a close eye on.
Palace have already beaten fellow-promoted sides Leeds and Fulham this season, and the Albion won’t want that to turn into a hattrick this weekend.
