View: Instagram player reveal delivers West Brom blow ahead of clash v Newcastle
It looks like the game between West Brom and Newcastle is going ahead after the Covid-19 outbreak at the north-east club.
The training ground reopened this week but all talk since has been about what sort of team Newcastle will be able to put out.
The Telegraph said that Steve Bruce could be without as many as 12 players for the rare Saturday 3pm kick-off for the Baggies.
West Brom need all the help they can get and Slaven Bilic has been tipped for the sack if he doesn’t get a result from the game.
There will be added pressure to get a result if the Baggies are facing a weakened team but perhaps the one man that West Brom fans would be hoping to be missing seems to be fit and available.
Callum Wilson is the striker who’s finally been able to deliver the goals at Newcastle.
He’s scored seven in nine Premier League games so far this season and he posted an update on his Instagram account on Wednesday saying, “Good to be back training with the lads today.”
He’ll be the main threat for West Brom who have the worst defence in the Premier League with 23 goals conceded.
We’re glad the game’s going ahead – we didn’t want West Brom to fall behind with fixtures – and we obviously don’t want to wish bad on any player.
But we were secretly hoping, like most other Baggies fans, that Wilson would have been unavailable for the game.
Sadly, it looks like he’s the man who could come between Bilic and his job.
