Three changes, Ivanovic dropped – Confirmed West Brom team news v Manchester City
West Brom have made three changes for their Premier League clash with Manchester City on Tuesday evening.
Slaven Bilic has welcomed back Kieran Gibbs, Jake Livermore and Grady Diangana into his side for the trip to the Etihad.
Confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, the Baggies have dropped Branislav Ivanovic from their defence despite him captaining the side against Newcastle.
Not many will be expecting much from this one.
Kyle Bartley will be missing over the Christmas period after picking up a calf injury against Crystal Palace last time out.
Ivanovic dropping to the bench has led to Gibbs looking like he could be playing centrally, something that could be a huge risk.
Kamil Grosicki and Charlie Austin both returned to the bench against Newcastle last time out, and that 2-1 defeat needs to be put behind them and quick.
The Baggies have never won a Premier League game on a Tuesday, and this will be their 28th attempt of ending that unwanted record.
Unfortunately, it comes against a City side who have easily swept aside Fulham and Burnley at home recently, scoring seven goals in the process.
Albion fans will have everything crossed ahead of this one, and some would even accept defeat if they didn’t concede more than a couple of goals.
