‘Rattled me’, No words’ – Allardyce’s ‘unbelievable’ comments leave these West Brom fans furious

New West Brom manager Sam Allardyce has not exactly endeared himself to supporters with his latest comments about Aston Villa star Jack Grealish.

Speaking to BT Sport, as transcribed by Birmingham Live, in the wake of Albion’s defeat 3-0 to their local rivals, the former England manager was quick to praise the Villa talisman.

While he could not help but praise Grealish, he also seemingly aimed a dig at the current crop of players at the Hawthorns: “He is an outstanding individual, one Aston Villa will be delighted to have. If we had a Jack Grealish, with all due respect to my players, we would stay up.”

It is not exactly what you want to hear from your new manager just hours after a heavy defeat to your local rivals.

Nor is it particularly inspiring for the squad, who will be fully aware they have an almighty task on their hands to stay in the Premier League.

Things do not get any easier for Albion, who have to face Liverpool, Leeds United and Arsenal in their next three games.

All of which does not help Allardyce, who was not exactly a popular appointment at West Brom in the first place, both for his affiliation with Wolves and the outcry of support for ex-boss Slaven Bilic.

These West Brom supporters on social media have been reacting to the comments made by the new Baggies boss and it is fair to say, plenty were not that impressed.

Here are some of the best reactions.
