‘Save us’, ‘Announce a 4-0 win’ – Many WBA fans delighted with return of player v Liverpool

West Brom playmaker Matheus Pereira will be back available for the Premier League clash against Liverpool on Sunday.

The Brazilian missed the past three games against Newcastle, Manchester City and Aston Villa through suspension after his red card against Palace.

It will be one in, one out for Sam Allardyce, who will be without Jake Livermore after he was given his marching orders against Villa.

The Baggies have taken to social media to share training photos of Pereira, reminding fans that the South American is set to return.

It is a massive boost for the Baggies, who have been seriously lacking creativity in the past three games despite picking up that unlikely point at City.

The Albion had a shocking expected goal total of 0.02 against Villa and only managed one shot on goal from their 32.7% possession according to WhoScored.

That is nowhere near good enough.

Big Sam will be relying on Pereira to come in and change that at Anfield, although our hopes aren’t high after their seven-goal thrashing of Palace.

No one is averaging more shots on goal per game than Pereira, who also completes more than double the number of key passes than any of his teammates, based on stats from WhoScored.

Matheus Pereira

Many West Brom fans have reacted to the Twitter post of Pereira on Twitter, and the majority can’t wait to see the Brazilian return to the fold.

Some have even sent rallying calls to the 24-year-old, claiming that he is their only hope of survival and that he needs to save the Albion.
