Matheus Pereira stays on bench – Confirmed West Brom team news v Leeds
West Brom boss Sam Allardyce has named his starting 11 for tonight’s game against Leeds United and made no changes to the side that drew with Liverpool.
No changes have been made by Allardyce after the Baggies picked up an incredible draw away at Anfield on Sunday.
Announced in the club’s Twitter account, several other changes have been made to Albion’s team by Allardyce due to the current congestion of fixtures.
Sam Johnstone retains his place in goal and he is protected by a defence of Darnell Furlong, Semi Ajayi, Dara O’Shea and Keiran Gibbs.
Romaine Sawyers, Conor Gallagher and Matt Phillips make up the midfield with Grady Diangana Callum Robinson and Karlan Grant leading the line.
Albion have the chance to pick up a first win under their new boss when they take a Leeds side that struggled to a narrow 1-0 win over Burnley two days ago.
Patrick Bamford scored the only goal of that game as the Whites’ defence managed to keep an unrelenting Clarets attack at bay in the second half.
No Premier League side has conceded more goals than Leeds this season so tonight is a huge chance for the Baggies to get some much-needed goals on the board.
The squad should be high on confidence after Sunday’s dramatic draw at Anfield and a three-point haul would be the perfect late Christmas present to Baggies fans.
In other West Brom news, Sam Allardyce has been hailed by Rio Ferdinand after Albion’s draw against Liverpool.
