West Brom 25y/o with 11 apps in 20/21 could leave, Allardyce will sanction exit – report
West Brom midfielder Filip Krovinovic looks set to leave the Hawthorns during the January window, according to Record.
The Portuguese outlet claim on their website that Sam Allardyce is prepared to sanction the exit of the Croatian, who is currently on loan from Benfica.
Greek side PAOK are said to be interested in taking Krovinovic, who needs the permission of both Benfica and West Brom to make that move.
It is said that Allardyce will allow the 25-year-old to leave this month if he asks to explore other options that are available to him.
Krovinovic was a favourite of Slaven Bilic and the former head coach did everything he could to bring him back for the Premier League season.
The Croatian wasn’t guaranteed starts though and has only made 11 appearances with five of those being starts.
Allardyce has only used Krovinovic in that 5-0 defeat against Leeds and has left him on the bench in every other clash since arriving.
This would be no surprise.
If there was any time that Krovinovic would have earned his spot, it would have been in the past three weeks.
Matheus Pereira and Jake Livermore have both picked up three-game suspensions, but the likes of Romaine Sawyers have been used instead – despite those options clearly not working.
Should this move fail to happen before the FA Cup clash against Blackpool, we will get a massive hint over the future of Krovinovic.
If Allardyce decides to not utilise him against a League One side, it will be all but confirmed that his exit is around the corner.
