‘Last thing we need’, ‘Would be class’ – Some West Brom fans conflicted over PL defender links
Some West Brom fans have reacted to the news that Albion are targeting Tottenham defender Danny Rose this January.
Speaking during Sky Sports News’ The Transfer Show (05/01/21 at 7:50 pm), Kaveh Solhekol detailed that Albion are considering a move for the out of favour defender.
Solhekol has claimed Rose is almost certain to leave Spurs this month and he has one unconfirmed report that Albion are interested in the left-back.
The defender spent the second half of last season on loan at Newcastle United where he helped to dump the Baggies out of the FA Cup during the 3-2 loss at The Hawthorns.
He is completely out of favour at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium and it seems that there is no way back for Rose under Jose Mourinho.
Albion already have two left-backs in Conor Townsend and Kieran Gibbs but Sam Allardyce may be keen to bring his own players into the Baggies defence.
Allardyce already has plenty of Premier League experience at left-back with Gibbs and Rose doesn’t present that much of an upgrade on what Albion already have.
Baggies fans have been debating on social media whether the move would be good with one fan claiming that Rose has an attitude problem and that this is the last thing that the club needs.
However, another fan claimed that the signing of Rose would be ‘class’ as the club’s January prospects look bleak.
Here is how some West Brom fans reacted to the news that Albion are reportedly interested in Rose.
