Nottingham Forest set to steal West Brom 25y/o – report

Loanee West Brom midfielder Filip Krovinovic is being targetted by Nottingham Forest, according to Greek outlet To10

Recently, a report from Portuguese outlet Record claimed that Sam Allardyce was happy to let Krovinovic return to parent club Benfica this month with other clubs interested in the midfielder.

This new report claims that Forest are closest to signing the 25-year-old with the Championship club poised to ‘steal’ Krovinovic away from the Baggies.

Greek side PAOK are one of the clubs reportedly interested in signing Krovinovic but To10 claim that the Croatian could stay in England.

The report states that Chris Hughton’s side are ‘closer than anyone’ in the pursuit of Krovnovic in a move that may disappoint some Baggies fans.

Krovinovic is a popular figure among the Albion fan base and seeing his loan deal cut short would be another move from new boss Allardyce that may not sit well with his new club’s fans.

The midfielder has barely had a look in this season and he has only made one appearance under new boss Allardyce.

Krovinovic was a substitute in the 5-0 loss to Leeds which didn’t give the Croatian much of an opportunity to impress his new head coach.

As one of the key members of last season’s promotion-winning side, Krovinovic has a lot of credit in the bank at The Hawthorns and seeing him leave early, especially to a Championship side, would be a bitter blow.

It is worth noting that Greek outlet To10 have linked Krovinovic to Greek-owned Nottingham Forest so we will have to wait and see whether this is a substantial claim.

In any case, Baggies fans won’t want to see one of the only players who has shown any fight this season to leave the club under a cloud, especially after last season’s heroics.

In other West Brom news, the Baggies are reportedly in advanced talks to sign this PL midfielder.
