Terms agreed: West Brom expected to confirm first January signing on Friday – Sky Sports

West Brom are expected to confirm the signing of West Ham United winger Robert Snodgrass on Friday.

Sky Sports journalist Rob Dorsett reported on his personal Twitter account that terms have been agreed between the two parties, with final details being ironed out.

The Scotsman is now expected to start his medical at the Hawthorns on Thursday before making the deal permanent tomorrow.

Writing on his Twitter account, Dorsett relayed the news that Snodgrass will be unveiled as a Baggies player before the FA Cup clash against Blackpool.

“Terms have been agreed between West Brom and Robert Snodgrass on an 18-month contract,” he wrote.

“Medical to start today, with him expected to be confirmed as an Albion player tomorrow.”

This is a typical Sam Allardyce signing.

Big Sam is known for bringing in experienced players to help his cause of staying in the Premier League, and Snodgrass is no different to that usual mould.

The 33-year-old has been a bit-part at the London Stadium under David Moyes, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to go out and get football under his belt.

Snodgrass has only played four minutes of Premier League football this season though, so will be desperate to get stuck into an extended spell on the pitch.

This could mean that we can’t expect an immediate impact at the Hawthorns though, and a debut against Blackpool could be the perfect start to get him ready.
