A number of West Brom supporters have been left infuriated with the Baggies squad after one image summed up their performance against Blackpool in the FA Cup on Saturday.

The Premier League strugglers were left embarrassed as they were knocked out at the third-round stage following a penalty shoot-out at Bloomfield Road.

The League One outfit more than held their own as they took the Baggies all the way to penalties.

Jerry Yates gave the hosts the lead before Semi Ajayi once again found himself on the scoresheet for the Baggies to equalise.

Gary Madine put Blackpool back in front just after the hour mark and it required a late Matheus Pereira penalty to take the game into extra time.

The penalties during the shoot-out were not much better for the Baggies, with Kyle Edwards, Darnell Furlong and Pereira all failing to convert from the spot, as Blackpool goalkeeper Chris Maxwell stole the show late on.

It was a disappointing new low for West Brom this season, who have shown no signs of improvement since Sam Allardyce came into the club.

With a cup run now out of the question, attention now turns to the club’s Premier League safety.

However, these supporters on social media were left furious after the game and accused many of the players of lacking any kind of team spirit after seeing the image below.

  1. Now you might see what i have been saying for along while , the players are not good enough . Most have blamed the signing of Sam Allardyce but the games these players have supposed to have played have shown it is the players that have been brought in + some that were already here . The club is a laughing stock , & i will say again it is the worst i have seen . I am not sure that we can sign enough loanees or permanent players to have a chance in stopping up . I will say again the rot started 3 years ago & if it is not addressed the Baggies will go into free fall
£ Millions in wages £Millions in transfers + heaven knows how much in agents fees have now taken its toll
So whoever you are do not blame Sam , because if he CAN keep us up it will be the best jobs he has so far taken on . Now just let him do what he has to do , if & if he gets all the support he needs , that includes the Supporters . Because without us there is no club
