‘Crikey’, ‘Not good enough’ – Many WBA fans react to major transfer news on ‘Awful’ player

West Brom midfielder Filip Krovinovic has looked out of place at The Hawthorns ever since arriving from Benfica last season.

Despite Slaven Bilic making the Croatian his main target and continuously fighting for him, he never became a consistent starter, either in the Championship or the Premier League.

Sam Allardyce has since arrived in the midlands, and it looks as though Krovinovic could be his first casualty to leave this season.

John Percy reported on Friday that Krovinovic looks set to return to Benfica, and then seal another loan switch to Croatian side Hajduk Split.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Percy reported that the Baggies are keen on filling that loan spot with Hamza Choudhury from Leicester.

“Filip Krovinovic is set to have his loan deal cut short, will then sign for Hajduk Split on loan for the remainder of the season. Also interest in Kipre, Grosicki & Harper,” he wrote. “WBA still keen on Hamza Choudhury.”

Krovinovic has only made 11 appearances this season, with only five of those being starts which is a big sign he isn’t wanted.

The 25-year-old has only featured for 18 minutes under Allardyce too, proving his options are even more limited now.

Many West Brom fans have reacted to the news that Krovinovic is set to cut short his spell at the Hawthorns, and there aren’t too many raising their eyebrows.

The majority have admitted that the playmaker is nowhere near good enough for the Premier League, and the Baggies must be smarter.
