Pictured: Injured West Brom player returns to training ahead of Wolves clash

West Brom midfielder Sam Field has been pictured in training ahead of the Premier League clash against Wolves on Saturday afternoon.

The Baggies travel to Molineux for their first Black Country Derby in nine years, with the stakes high for Sam Allardyce.

Big Sam will be boosted by this latest team news, with Karlan Grant and Conor Gallagher the only two fresh problems at the Hawthorns.

Field has been missing since October and looks set to return to the matchday squad against Wolves tomorrow.

West Brom have shared a training gallery of photos ahead of the massive game, with Robert Snodgrass the main focus.

Interestingly, behind the new signing in one picture, you can see Field involved with the rest of the squad in high spirits.

This is big news.

Field may not have been involved massively, but with Gallagher missing, Allardyce will be scratching his head with his midfield selection.

Romaine Sawyers has been nothing short of shocking in the Premier League, and we can’t afford to waste another 90 minutes of football with him in midfield.

In 45 minutes of action in his last outing against Southampton, Field completed three tackles, two interceptions and a single clearance according to WhoScored.

For comparisons, Sawyers has been dribbled past three or more times in five Premier League games so far.

The Baggies need players who are going to step up and bringing in the hungry Field after his long absence could be a masterstroke this weekend.
