‘Please no’, ‘Embarrassing’ – Many WBA fans ‘extremely underwhelmed’ by major transfer update
West Brom have been linked with a move for free-agent striker Ahmed Musa this week as Sam Allardyce intensifies his search.
All Nigeria Soccer have reported that the Baggies have entered talks with the 28-year-old, as they look to beat Burnley to his signature.
It is suggested that the Albion almost signed the former Al Nassr striker in the summer, but talks collapsed at that stage.
Talks progressing.
Musa has made it his priority to return to the Premier League, making a move to the likes of CSKA Moscow unlikely this month.
The striker will be determined to make up for his poor spell at Leicester City only a couple of seasons ago after they lifted the Premier League title.
It was reported by the Daily Mail over the weekend that the Baggies have requested a UK visa, and have also pencilled in his medical for Wednesday.
Should both of those prove to be smooth sailing, Musa should be announced at The Hawthorns until the end of the season.
The 28-year-old hasn’t enjoyed the best of times recently – failing to score or deliver an assist since August for club or country.
Many West Brom fans have reacted to the news linking Musa with a move to the midlands, and the majority are not happy, to say the least.
Some claim that the move is a waste of time and money, while others have simply labelled this latest interest as “embarrassing.”
