Agent shares ‘likely’ destination of 28-year-old strongly linked with West Brom switch
The agent of West Brom-linked Ahmed Musa has confirmed that the strikers’ likely destination this month is the Premier League.
Musa, currently a free agent, has been linked with the Baggies, Burnley and CSKA Moscow during the January window.
All Nigeria Soccer reported that the 28-year-old had entered negotiations with the Albion, with his future set to be decided in the “coming days.”
Speaking to Sports Express, Harris shared an update on the future of his client, claiming that a move to England is on the cards.
“Negotiations with CSKA have not ended, but most likely Ahmed will go to England,” he said.
It’s no surprise to hear this news, with Musa having represented the Russian club on two separate occasions in his career already between 2012 and 2018.
Advantage Albion?
John Percy reported at the start of this week that Musa was set to start training with West Brom as Sam Allardyce considers a free switch.
That was followed by the Daily Mail claiming that the Baggies had requested a UK visa for the Nigerian international, as they look to complete his move this week.
Harris’ comments suggest that the negotiations aren’t that far ahead with the Albion, with others potentially jumping the gun too quickly.
With Mbaye Diagne set to be announced this week, Musa could make it two before the deadline over the weekend.
