‘I dare you’, ‘I’m finished’ – Some West Brom fans have simple message for Big Sam
Some West Brom fans have made it clear that they want Sam Field to start against Fulham ahead of Romaine Sawyers.
Field is back in contention after being injured for the entirety of Sam Allardyce’s tenure at The Hawthorns.
On Thursday, the club tweeted out a picture of the squad training in which Field was included, leading to the same message being relayed by the Baggies faithful.
Sawyers has been in dreadful form for large swathes of this season and after impressing against Wolves a few weeks ago he looked back to his old complacent self against Manchester City.
No Albion players left the pitch after the 5-0 loss with much dignity intact but Sawyers had a worse game than most.
Largely, the midfielder has had a torrid season which was summed up in the game against Leeds as he managed to score an own goal from outside his own box.
Any fans who had any faith in Sawyers after that disastrous result to Leeds have seemingly all jumped ship with no positive messages about the midfielder anywhere to be seen on social media.
In fact, some Albion fans replied to the club’s tweet by saying that Field has to start over Sawyers this weekend.
Some even said they wouldn’t be watching the game if Sawyers is handed a start over Field.
