‘Finished’, ‘Incredibly poor’, ‘Awful’ – Many WBA fans destroy ‘Shocking’ player at HT v Fulham
West Brom couldn’t have wished for a worse start yet again in their latest Premier League clash against Fulham on Saturday.
The Baggies made a couple of changes to their side after they were demolished by Manchester City, but it made no real difference.
Bobby Decordova-Reid slammed home the opener at The Hawthorns, with Sam Allardyce a dejected figure on the sideline.
Kieran Gibbs made his 100th appearance on the day, and he played a massive role in the opening goal scored by Reid.
The experienced defender was caught ball-watching, allowing the winger to stay in acres of space before receiving the ball from Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Gibbs was consistently caught in the opening 45 minutes and was lucky not to get punished again as Reid this time sprung the offside trap before hitting the post.
Conor Townsend has been sidelined for weeks with injury, and this was yet another reminder that he has significantly missed.
The left-back was on the bench against Fulham, though, and based on this defending on show from Gibbs, it won’t be long till he’s starting again.
Many West Brom fans have destroyed Gibbs for his first-half display against Fulham, with many begging Allardyce to bring back Townsend.
The majority have even claimed that he is “finished” with not many expecting him to get many more appearances past his 100th for the club.
