Ligue 1 club wants to sign West Brom attacker in deadline-busting deal – report

Ligue 1 strugglers Dijon are interested in signing Kamil Grosicki from West Brom in a deadline busting deal, according to Sportowe Fakty.

Grosicki, 32, has been left out of Sam Allardyce’s last two matchday squads in the Premier League and the Polish news outlet reports that the Poland international is trying to “change clubs in the last moments of the transfer window”.

Dijon reportedly want to sign Grosicki but it is understood they are struggling to afford the winger’s wages.

Groskci has also been linked with Middlesbrough, Nottingham Forest and clubs in the Middle East as he aims to win a spot in the Poland squad for this summer’s European Championships.

Bye-bye Kamil

Whether Dijon manage to agree a deal for Grosicki or not, it seems likely that the former Huill and Rennes winger will be leaving The Hawthorns at some point.

Grosicki’s contract expires in the summer and he is struggling to get game-time for the Baggies so there’s not much point in keeping him around.

Keeping Grosicki will harm his chances of getting in the Poland squad so it seems that letting him leave is the best option for all parties.

Dijon would be an interesting move as it would mean Grosicki returns to France, where he made 81 Ligue 1 appearances and scored 13 goals for Rennes.

Whatever happens, we’ll wish Grosicki well because he’s been a good servant for the Albion in the last year.
