Personal terms agreed: West Brom close in on second striker transfer – report

West Brom have agreed personal terms with free-agent Ahmed Musa ahead of completed a deal, according to All Nigeria Soccer.

Musa was set to arrive in the Midlands at the start of last week to be assessed, but Sam Allardyce claimed COVID-19 protocols slowed that down.

The African source have reported on their website that Musa was in fact assessing the terms offered to him by the Baggies, with that now ironed out.

Musa has been a free agent since leaving Al-Nassr and can seal his switch to the Baggies after tonight’s transfer deadline.

The 28-year-old can play anywhere across the front three and will hand Allardyce plenty of options in the final third between now and the end of the season.

Mbaye Diagne has also arrived this month, meaning that Musa may be asked to be in a wider-role to fit both new signings into the side.

With Karlan Grant and Callum Robinson also available, Allardyce will have plenty of options to choose from in his selections.

The Daily Mail have reported that Musa is set to jet into the United Kingdom and arrive on Tuesday morning to complete this deal.

With personal terms reportedly agreed, it shouldn’t take long to complete the formalities and announce the move before the Premier Leauge clash with Sheffield United.

Diagne looks set to earn his first Premier League start against the Blades, but Musa won’t have signed in time to be involved, and will likely have to take a watching brief in South Yorkshire.
