‘Would be stupid’, ‘Love him’ – These rival PL fans fume at prospect of 21y/o joining West Brom
West Brom are interested in signing Japhet Tanganga on loan, per the Express & Star, but the move would disappoint a number of Tottenham fans.
Time is running out in the transfer window and Sam Allardyce has made it clear that signing a right-back will be his priority if Okay Yukuslu joins on loan.
Tanganga would fit that bill as well as providing the added bonus of also being able to play at centre-back.
He is young and inexperienced but was given a chance by Jose Mourinho last season, which suggests he has real talent.
That is perhaps why some Spurs supporters oppose this proposed move, and are instead keen for him to be given more minutes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Their positive view of the 21-year-old indicates that he could be a solid signing for Albion, and a solution to our worrying defensive issues.
A record of 29 goals conceded in nine games under Big Sam underlines the need for a defender, so hopefully we can bring in Tanganga.
He has featured only seven times this campaign but Spurs kept clean sheets in four of those outings.
Also, Tanganga may shine at The Hawthorns as it would provide him with an opportunity to impress Mourinho.
Spurs fans know the most about the defender and are therefore best suited to judge his ability.
And the fact they’re not happy with him being loaned out, as the responses below show, means he could be a good signing.
