Player jets into England today to train with West Brom for first time tomorrow – Sky Sports journo

Okay Yokuslu is finally jetting into England ahead of training with West Brom for the first time since agreeing a loan move from Celta Vigo, according to Rob Dorsett.

Writing via his personal Twitter account, the Sky Sports journalist reported that Yokuslu, 26, is flying to England today (Thursday) ahead of training with his new team-mates tomorrow (Friday) and will be available to make his debut against Tottenham on Sunday.

Straight into the starting XI?

Sam Allardyce is bound to ring some changes to his West Brom starting line-up after aberration of performances against Manchester City, Fulham and Sheffield United.

Yokuslu made 14 appearances for Celta Vigo, starting three times in La Liga, before agreeing to join the Baggies on loan for the rest of the season on Monday.

Whether or not he’ll be totally up to speed and totally fit remains to be seen because he’s only going to have one or two training sessions with the Albion before the trip to Tottenham.

But there’s a good chance he’ll be on the bench and introduced slowly.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles, on the other hand, is more likely to make his debut as he’s played plenty of football for Arsenal this term and has had more time to get settled in at the Albion.

Yokuslu will hopefully add some much-needed defensive steel to West Brom’s weak spine once he’s fully accustomed to playing for Big Sam.

But that needs to happen sooner rather than later if we want to see him have an impact in our bid to stay up.

In other West Brom news, this Albion player is set to be offered a £15,000-a-week contract by a manager who loves him.
