Man United midfield star ruled out of clash v West Brom – report
Manchester United will be without midfield star Paul Pogba when they take on West Brom at The Hawthorns on Sunday, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper reports that the 27-year-old will miss Man United’s FA Cup clash with West Ham on Tuesday before being forced to sit out of Premier League fixtures against the Albion, Newcastle and Chelsea, as well as both Europa League legs versus Real Sociedad.
It is understood the France international suffered a thigh injury as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men drew 3-3 with Everton last week.
Huge boost for Albion
Let’s face it, it’s going to be difficult to get a result against Man United this weekend when they make their way to the Black Country.
Edinson Cavani, Bruno Fernandes, Luke Shaw and co are in great form for the Old Trafford club while Pogba has improved massively this term for the Red Devils.
He’s played 28 times in all competitions this season for Man United, scoring four goals and supplying three assists in the process.
Without him, Man United are weakened and that helps West Brom in the sense that they have one less midfield star to keep close tabs on.
Fernandes is already going to be a massive handful for Albion, which is why we predict that Okay Yokuslu might be handed his full debut for the club to man mark the Portugal international.
However, focussing too much on Fernandes will allow other players to come into play like Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood. With Pogba injured, we don’t have to add him to that list.
In other West Brom news, Premier League and MLS clubs want to sign this Albion player and one bid has already been rebuffed.
