Nigeria coach shares update on West Brom’s Ahmed Musa chase

Nigeria’s national coach Gernot Rohr has provided an update on Ahmed Musa’s proposed move to West Brom.

Musa was expected to have signed for Albion by now after passing medical tests and training with Sam Allardyce’s side.

However, The Daily Mail recently reported that the club has run out money and are unable to sanction the move, leaving Musa’s future in doubt.

Rohr has now shared an update on his side’s captain and is quoted by All Nigeria Soccer as saying, “We are in touch with our captain, he is in the United Kingdom now.

“I am very hopeful that he can sign in the next days, he wanted to come back to Europe and to play in England so it’s not easy during the season.

“I’m hopeful that he can sign in the club, it’s very important that everybody is playing in their clubs.”

In any case, we hope that this transfer saga ends soon as Allardyce doesn’t need any distractions as he plots to save us from relegation.

If the money really has run out then we need to cast Musa aside as we are running out of time to save our season and the players who are already here need to be prioritised.

At least we know that he is still in the country which suggests that he hasn’t given up a move, though the Daily Mail report did claim that other Premier League clubs are interested in him.

If we miss out on signing a free agent because we have run of money this would just add to this season’s embarrassment.

Either way, this transfer saga needs to end soon, with us getting a new player or with the club not overspending and causing financial worry.

In other West Brom news, Premier League and MLS clubs want to sign this Albion player and one bid has already been rebuffed.
