West Brom fans react as club linked with move for Championship star

West Brom fans aren’t happy. The club is looking like it’s heading straight back into the Championship after a disastrous Premier League campaign.

Bringing Big Sam in hasn’t made a difference. In fact, he seems to have taken West Brom into reverse.

And the latest transfer report, linking the club with a move for Nottingham Forest centre-back Joe Worall hasn’t gone down well with all the fans.

The Sun has claimed that Albion want to sign Worrall whether they stay up or go down.

Given how many goals we’ve conceded under Bilic and Allardyce, this could seem like a bid to close the barn doors after all the horses have fled The Hawthorns.

However, some fans are able to see past the doom and gloom and recognise Worrall as a solid talent who could help us in the Championship.

After missing 12 games early on in the season through Coronavirus, Worrall has been an ever-present in the side since.

Forest are struggling in 18th place in the league so it would be a sideways move for the 24-year-old if he did switch clubs in the midlands, but West Brom would have the advantage of parachute payments to make good offers for players.

A good indicator of a player is how the club’s fans think of him when he’s linked with a move away.

In this instance, Nottingham Forest fans do not want to lose their homegrown hero with one saying, “If #nffc do sell Joe Worrall to West Brom I’ll never watch another game the state of our club if this happens.”

That will do for us. This is what the West Brom fans make of Worrall, Dowling and the general state of the world…

Meanwhile, here are what some Nottingham Forest fans are making of it all…

In other West Brom news, Albion fans want this 45-year-old manager to replace Sam Allardyce.
