‘Class from the board’, ‘Pride must be hurting’ – Many West Brom fans question club’s Musa call

Many West Brom fans have reacted to reports that claim Albion have decided against signing free agent Ahmed Musa.

Musa had been linked with Albion throughout the January transfer window and even into February after having a trial at the club a few weeks ago.

However, Joseph Masi of Express and Star has now claimed that the club pulled out of a deal for Musa as they feel that they have stronger players in his position.

This is slightly puzzling as none of our forward players have particularly impressed this season apart from the inconsistent Matheus Pereira.

You’d think that we’d want as much firepower in our ranks as possible considering that goals have been very hard to come by this year.

Following a report from The Daily Mail that claimed the club had run out of money to sign the free agent, perhaps Albion are trying to save face by claiming that the Nigeria captain simply isn’t good enough.

The alternative is that Musa simply was not good enough to get game time for us which must come as a pretty heavy blow to the attacker.

To be told that you’re not as good as Karlan Grant must be rough to take considering Musa was playing Champions League football in the not too distant past.

Many Baggies have reacted in different ways to this news with some claiming that this was a good decision by the club but others questioned the reasoning behind the move as we don’t have many quality attackers.

Here is how some West Brom fans reacted to the news that we wouldn’t be signing Musa.
