Michael Owen predicts West Brom clash v Man Utd, claims Baggies could fear key man
Michael Owen has backed Manchester United to leave West Brom will all three points in their Premier League clash on Sunday.
The pundit has predicted that the Baggies will lose 2-0 at The Hawthorns, and continue their imperious record on the road.
The reverse fixture is one that certainly sticks in the memory, with Bruno Fernandes’ penalty splitting the two sides at Old Trafford.
Writing in his Bet Victor predictions column, Owen claimed that the Baggies will be fearing coming up against Edinson Cavani.
“Sam Allardyce hasn’t had the desired impact thus far at the Hawthorns.
“The Baggies have been struggling in all departments and they welcome a team here that are undefeated for over a year away from home in the Premier League.
“I think it was a shrewd move from United to get Edinson Cavani in over the summer. His experience has been vital in recent away victories and I don’t think any defender will look forward to facing him.
“With that in mind, there’s only one winner for me. I’m going with Manchester United to take the points home to Old Trafford.”
This isn’t one most will be looking forward too.
Manchester United have been untouchable away from home, and The Hawthorns hasn’t exactly been made a fortress this season.
Sam Allardyce’s side have conceded 19 goals at home since he arrived, averaging nearly four goals in each game in the Premier League – a shocking record.
Add to that the prospect of Bruno Fernandes given the freedom of the midlands, and it is a daunting prospect for the Baggies.
Allardyce needs to change his sides’ fortunes and quick, what better way than to do that against the Red Devils this weekend?
