Sam Allardyce confirms major West Brom blow, first-teamer ruled out v Man United
Sam Allardyce has confirmed that West Brom winger Grady Diangana will miss out of the Premier League clash against Manchester United.
Diangana has been missing for weeks for the Baggies, and Big Sam has revealed that he has been suffering from a hamstring injury.
It was confirmed that the 22-year-old is back in training, but the game against the Red Devils has come too early for his return.
Express and Star journalist Joseph Masi has relayed the update on his personal Twitter account, and it wasn’t the news many were hoping for.
“Sam Allardyce has confirmed Grady Diangana is now back in full training following his hamstring strain,” he said.
“The Man Utd game will come too soon for him. But hopefully, he will be back shortly after.”
This would have been welcome news.
How can Diangana have returned to full training but not be ready to feature at all against Manchester United on Sunday? It doesn’t make sense.
Surely, the winger is atleast ready for a spot on the bench, he has the skills to make a real difference off the bench at The Hawthorns.
Diangana has great pace and skill, and if the score is tight with an open game, he could have been a real weapon for the Baggies towards the end of the clash.
