‘What a player’, ‘Real deal’ – Many WBA fans blown away by ‘Class’ 26y/o at HT v Man United

West Brom got off to the perfect start in their Premier League clash with Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.

After only a couple of minutes, Conor Gallagher floated in the perfect cross which allowed Mbaye Diagne to bully Victor Lindelof and head home.

Sam Allardyce named his four January signings in his starting XI for the first time, with Okay Yoksulu coming into the midfield.

The Turkish international came off the bench against Spurs and impressed immediately with his no-nonsense approach off the ball.

He continued that against Manchester United, dominating the likes of Bruno Fernandes, one of the league’s best playmakers before his late equaliser.

Jake Livermore and Romaine Sawyers have been nothing short of shocking this season, and it’s a welcome boost to have someone fighting for the shirt in midfield.

The 26-year-old won two aerial battles and completed one progressive dribble according to WhoScored, proving he can be more than just a ball-winner if needed.

Many West Brom fans have reacted to the first-half performance of Yokuslu against the Red Devils, and it’s fair to say they thought it was better than “okay”.

The majority claimed that the Turkish enforcer is exactly what they have been missing from the start of the season until now – it’s hard to disagree.
