Report: Chances of Kamil Grosicki leaving West Brom this month are increasing

The chances of Kamil Grosicki leaving West Brom to return to Poland are significantly increasing, according to the Birmingham Mail.

Reporting on their website, it is suggested that the 32-year-old has the possibility to join his boyhood club Pogon Szczecin this season.

Grosicki has shared his desire to earn more first-team football this season, something that Sam Allardyce doesn’t appear to be able to grant at The Hawthorns.

This move is going to depend on finances.

Grosicki is on hefty wages at the Baggies, and Szczecin aren’t able to match that despite leading the Ekstraklasa this season.

Szczecin is described as an ideal switch for the winger, not only because they’re his boyhood club, but most of his family are still there.

Time is of the essence with the Polish transfer window set to expire in nine days, although there is a willingness on both sides to get this deal done.

This has been in the pipeline for months rather than weeks now.

It would be best for both parties should Grosicki complete this switch, he gets playing time, and the Baggies get back his big-money wages.

The 32-year-old has only started those two games against Wolves and West Ham in the Premier League and Big Sam’s January additions appear to have seen his chances obliterated.

Szczecin have come in at the perfect time, and it appears as though the door is open; good riddance we say.
