Gary Rowett confirms West Brom loanee Kenneth Zohore has picked up fresh injury

Millwall boss Gary Rowett has confirmed that West Brom loanee Kenneth Zohore has picked up a fresh ankle injury this week.

The Dane has yet to string together a run of fixtures in the Championship this season, with numerous problems facing him at the Den.

Rowett has revealed that Zohore is set to visit a specialist this week before they can release just how bad the damage picked up is.

Speaking to the media ahead of Millwall’s clash with Birmingham, Rowett suggested that the colossal forward will miss out.

“We are still waiting for the prognosis on Ken, it looks like there is some damage to his ankle,” he said.

“But I’m not sure what extent yet. He’ll see a specialist over the next few days.”

Zohore has not enjoyed the best of seasons.

The 27-year-old will have been hoping to catch the eye down in London, but constant injuries have seen his chances of impressing Big Sam and the Baggies are clearly slim.

The striker has started eight Championship games, come off the bench four times, and only found the back of the net twice – not impressive.

With the impact that Mbaye Diange has already had at The Hawthorns, it appears that Zohore is a distant-memory, and this injury certainly doesn’t help that.
