Many West Brom fans thrilled by Jay Rodriguez tweet on Baggies memory
Jay Rodriguez has played a major part in the recent history of West Brom in the Premier League and the Championship.
Now at Burnley, the forward still has fond memories of his time at The Hawthorns and so do all of the Baggies fans.
It is fair to say that we have had our ups and downs with many strikers in recent years, with many failures overshadowing the positive ones.
The 31-year-old played 90 times for the Albion, scoring 33 goals and delivering eight assists after signing from Southampton.
It would be hard to imagine Rodriguez ever returning to the Baggies, with relegation on the cards and the striker becoming starting to become injury-prone.
Rodriguez left after our first failure to reach the Premier League through the Championship play-offs against Aston Villa.
The Burnley forward took to his personal Twitter account on Tuesday, sharing fond memories of a victory we did secure at Villa Park.
Rodriguez and Hal Robson-Kanu scored that day, and it was a memorable 2-0 victory that many of us aren’t going to forget in a hurry.
“One of many special memories playing for West Brom,” he wrote.
Many Albion fans have reacted to the post on Twitter, and many of them were delighted with the throwback from Jay-Rod.
The majority urged him to come back to The Hawthorns and that they miss him from his time back in the midlands in recent years.
