West Brom ace Grosicki agrees commercial deal amid speculation over Poland transfer
West Brom attacker Kamil Grosicki has agreed a commercial deal with Polish windows and doors company Dobroplast.
The 32-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Polish firm amid speculation over a return to his home country.
According to Polish news outlet Meczyki, Grosicki is closing in on a return to Pogoń Szczecin, where he started his career as a boy.
In the middle of all the speculation, the Poland international has agreed an advertising deal with Dobroplast, which only further cements the possibility of his return to Eastern Europe.
“In our company, we are close to sports from the very beginning and we actively support the sports passions of our employees. The choice of Kamil as the brand ambassador does not result only from our passion for football,” said Grzegorz Kowalski, president of Dobroplast, as quoted by Wirtualnemedia.
Grosicki slowly edging to exit
It seems like we’ve been talking about Grosicki leaving West Brom forever with the winger almost joining Nottingham Forest in the last transfer window before more speculation arose in January and this month.
Grosicki’s hinted on his Instagram that something could be due to happen soon in regards to his future so the player himself does seem keen to move on.
If he does go then that’s fair enough. He’s not getting in Sam Allardyce’s team at The Hawthorns and a move to Pogon will surely boost his chances of playing at the European Championships with Poland in the summer.
Pogon are flying in Poland’s top-flight at the moment as they sit top of the Ekstraklasal, two points ahead of Legia Warsaw, who were also linked with Grosicki.
It has been widely reported the ex-Hull winger is earning £40,000-a-week at West Brom, which way too much for a player who’s not getting in the first-team.
It’s also a lot for teams in Poland so there’s no doubt that Grosicki will have to take one massive pay cut in order to join Pogon or Legia or whoever wants him.
Joining Pogon would be quite a nice move for Grosicki though as he’ll get the chance to play for his first club and his hometown club as they get ready to move into their new stadium and potentially win the league.
In other West Brom news, Gary Neville was disappointed by this player’s display against Manchester United on Sunday.
