Sam Allardyce shares injury update on West Brom squad ahead of Burnley clash

Sam Allardyce has delivered an injury update on his West Brom squad ahead of the Premier League clash with Burnley.

The Baggies will be without Kieran Gibbs, with the left-back picking up a neck and shoulder issue picked up during this week.

Big Sam is also sweating over the fitness of Robert Snodgrass, who has a bruised knee and missing training on Thursday.

Grady Diangana is returning, and Lee Peltier could also feature despite being forced off in the 1-1 draw against Manchester United.

Joseph Masi has relayed the news from the Baggies press conference on his personal Twitter account with numerous updates.

“Albion sweating on Snodgrass ahead of Burnley,” he said. “He’s got a bruised knee & didn’t train today.

“Allardyce hopeful he will train tomorrow. Diangana is back though and Peltier has a chance. Kieran Gibbs is out with a neck/shoulder issue.”

Snodgrass has been a shining light since arriving from West Ham.

The Scottish winger has given us that fighting spirit that we were missing so desperately at The Hawthorns, and that is what you need during a fight for survival.

Peltier has somehow fought his way back into the squad, and he has proven he can cement his spot at right-back, although this setback would let Darnell Furlong or Dara O’Shea back in.

This update could lead to Big Sam being forced into numerous changes at Turf Moor, and it is critical they hit the ground running.
