Big Sam opens up on his West Brom future as he details Premier League aim

Sam Allardyce has expressed his desire to stay at West Brom beyond the end of the current campaign despite winning just one game in charge since his appointment.

The 66-year-old replaced Slaven Bilic at The Hawthorns in December and was handed the task of guiding the side to Premier League safety.

However that has not gone according to plan with Albion losing eight of their 11 league games as well as crashing out of the FA Cup at the first attempt to League One Blackpool.

Despite a poor start to life in the West Midlands that has seen his side pick up just six points out of a possible 33, Allardyce is hoping to stay exactly where he is.

As reported by the Birmingham Mail, he said: “Hopefully, I’m sat here planning for next season in the Premier League! That’s going to be a real difficult challenge, but it’s still my hope and desire to be sat here and saying ‘wow, how did we do that?'”

“It’d be great if we could do that, I’ve done a few of those where I’ve got up the next morning and wondered just how did we get out of trouble.”

Over and out Big Sam

That’s very kind of you to offer your services Sam but we think we’ll pass on this one.

Allardyce’s appointment at Albion has been nothing short of disastrous and the last thing we need is a continuation of his failing methods.

If the inevitable happens and we fall back into the Championship he must be dismissed so that we can rid ourselves of his abject excuses and shoddy tactics.

It would be an absolute miracle if we stayed in the Premier League now but even if we did it would probably say more about the other teams around us than a real Albion success story.

The negativity surrounding Big Sam has already seeped too far into the fabric of our club which makes any stay beyond the summer seem extremely unlikely and it will be best for both parties to go their separate ways.

He has been at the club for two months now and a solitary victory to his name is quite frankly pathetic.

The summer cannot come too soon as we hopefully say our goodbyes.

Good riddance might be more appropriate at this stage.
