Many West Brom fans take aim at Ajayi after red card v Burnley
Many West Brom fans have taken aim at Semi Ajayi after he got sent off in the first half of Saturday’s game against Burnley.
Ajayi was shown a red card on the half-hour mark for a deliberate handball that denied a goalscoring opportunity.
The defender was the last man back and he swiped at the ball with his hand as Burnley looked to counter-attack.
It looked a clear handball in real-time and it is surprising that Mike Dean was even asked to go to the monitor to check it.
The correct decision was reached in the end and Ajayi was given his marching orders which makes a tough task even tougher.
It was a ludicrous thing for the defender to do and it is exactly the last thing that Sam Allardyce will have wanted from one of his more experienced players.
Many Albion fans are furious with Ajayi and labelled the defender as an idiot and a clown for his actions against Burnley.
The red card leaves us in the lurch ahead of a very important 45 minutes though the biggest blow is that we will be without Ajayi for our next three games.
