Okay Yokuslu has been a revelation since his deadline-day switch from Celta Vigo but Steve Madeley doubts West Brom have a chance of extending his stay.
The 26-year-old impressed against Everton on Thursday despite Albion losing 1-0 at The Hawthorns and The Athletic journalist Madeley was suitably impressed to mark him out as the pick of the bunch with a nine rating.
It was during the first-half that he took to his personal Twitter profile to say: “What a player Yokuslu is. Suspect he’ll be in the Premier League next season irrespective of what happens with Albion’s season.”
Following the game’s conclusion Madeley went one further and said: “Suspect, if Albion go down, he’ll [Yokuslu] have offers from elsewhere that they can’t live with.”
Yokuslu is currently only on loan from La Liga side Celta Vigo but looks set to be made available for transfer in the summer after failing to work his way into their starting XI.
Keep at all costs
If the worst does ensue and we end up making an immediate return to the Championship we definitely do not expect to be seeing Yokuslu line up at The Hawthorns next season.
He has shown already what a top-class performer he is and we would not stand in the way of a chance for him to further test himself on the biggest stage.
But if we do stay up, and there have been signs of a revival recently, then surely we can hope to bring him back.
Because how else are we going to progress as a club if we keep letting our best talents leave?
Of course this is all hypothetical at the moment but it’s important we plan and dream and Yokuslu should be firmly in our thoughts if we achieve survival.
Unless a club with European aspirations makes a bid for him we think there is a good chance he could be tempted to turn his loan into a permanent one in the West Midlands.
He must be feeling the love online from fans pouring praise on his performances so far.
It will be tough but we’re crossing everything we can do the double – stay in the Premier League and secure Yokuslu’s permanent signature.
