Chris Lepkowski slams West Brom playmaker Matheus Pereira in Premier League
Chris Lepkowski has slammed West Brom playmaker Matheus Pereira for his “embarrassing” reactions to fouls.
Sam Allardyce has claimed recently that the Brazilian needs to be quicker to improve and succeed more in the Premier League this season.
Lepkowski responded to that, insisting that Pereira may not be capable of more than what he is given, and what he delivered in the Championship at a higher standard.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, Lepkowski made some suggestions regarding how Pereira can change his fortunes in the Premier League.
Pereira hasn’t enjoyed the best start to life in the Premier League.
We do believe that his position has played a massive role in that though, and he hasn’t been helped by either Slaven Bilic or Big Sam in their systems.
Everyone knows that the best role for Pereira is in that central attacking midfield spot, but the need to play both Conor Gallagher and Ainsley Maitland-Niles has seen him drift out to the left.
Pereira has failed to deliver a single goal involvement since his strike against Fulham, and this experiment playing him out wide in the seven games that have followed has to stop.
Has for the screaming and overreaction? That has to be thrown out too.
