Super Fans react to Saido Berahino declaring aim to play for West Brom
Saido Berahino would love a return to West Brom but some of our Super Fans are not too keen on that idea.
The striker was tipped with a move to Tottenham in 2015 and handed in a transfer request [The Telegraph] in a bid to get a deal completed.
That did not sit well with Albion fans and Berahino later left the club to join Stoke – his career has taken a downward trajectory ever since.
Berahino now plays for RSC Charleroi – on loan from Zulte Waregem – in Belgium, but would love nothing more than to come back to The Hawthorns.
He told the Rio Ferdinand Presents FIVE podcast that he has his passion back and would “die playing” for West Brom.
Many of our Super Fans would not take him back due to several factors, but there is not total agreement on whether or not he would be a good addition in the summer.

It is interesting to see that while there has been no love lost between Berahino and some of the fanbase, these Super Fans are quite rational in their view.
They are not motivated by the frustration they may have felt from Berahino and his actions towards the end of his Baggies career.
Instead, they are judging the 27-year-old on his ability and the fact that he is not performing well at present.
Even in Belgium Berahino has struggled in front of goal with four goals in 21 games this season.
That likely contributed to Zulte Waregem loaning him out to RSC Charleroi, which suggests he is no longer good enough for the Championship.
It is all well and good to have the passion to play for us but he would need to back that up with performances on the pitch.
We feel he has wasted his career in the last few years and like many of the fans above do not see a route back for him at Albion – unless he manages to transform his game.
