West Brom Super Fans detail which out of contract players they would release

This is part of a regular series from our panel of West Brom Super Fans. Each week, our Super Fans will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around The Hawthorns.

West Brom Super Fans are keen for a fresh start and that means letting go a number of players in the summer.

Branislav Ivanovic, Lee Peltier, Hal Robson-Kanu, Kyle Edwards and Andy Lonergan could all depart as their contracts expire in the summer.

Luke Dowling has a chance to save their wages and put the money to better use by signing players Sam Allardyce is keen on, should the Albion boss stay.

We asked our Super Fans for their views on the players mentioned above and whether they would keep any of them on next season.

Here are some of the responses.

It is fair to say there is a unanimous feeling that none of the players whose contracts expire are good enough.

Ivanovic has been a tremendous disappointment since he was brought in as Slaven Bilic likely felt his experience would have made a big difference in our defence.

Instead, he has started just eight league games and achieved a WhoScored average rating of 6.2.

Robson-Kanu and Peltier have also failed to make the step-up to the top-flight and would likely be no more than squad players in the Championship.

Considering the former is reportedly on £30,000 a week [Spotrac], it would be wise to let him go.

It is likely the club is planning to release the five mentioned.

Kyle Bartley and Conor Townsend have received extensions to their contracts which were also due to expire at the end of June.

If Dowling was keen to keep others at the club he would have opened negotiations with them, therefore.
