View: Joseph Masi drops hint Hal Robson-Kanu set for West Brom summer exit
West Brom have a number of experienced players who are running out of time on their current contracts at The Hawthorns.
Kieran Gibbs has already seen his exit confirmed this week, with the left-back set to join up with Phil Neville at Inter Miami in the MLS.
That isn’t expected to be the last either, with the likes of Hal Robson-Kanu also coming into the final few months of their deals.
Express and Star journalist Joseph Masi has dropped a recent hint that the Welsh international could be about to follow in the footsteps of Gibbs.
Looking at younger options that could come into the side should the Baggies be relegated to the Championship this season, Callum Morton is namedropped.
“With Hal Robson-Kanu out of contract in the summer, though, Albion may be in need of a striker who can make an impact off the bench – with Morton potentially that man,” he wrote.
Morton the man?
The young striker has endured one of the worst seasons of his career, having been ruled out for a number of months with a freak incident.
Having recently returned to action, Morton has started finding the back of the net instantly which is exactly what the Albion will have wanted to see.
The 21-year-old has scored two goals in his previous six outings having missed 28 games and basically the entire League One campaign.
With relegation on the horizon from the Premier League, there are bound to be a lot of experienced, big-money names let go from The Hawthorns.
It appears as though Robson-Kanu could be one of them, and given his lack of impact this season, there can be few complaints with that choice.
