West Brom were perfect on Saturday afternoon as they picked up a huge 5-2 victory against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues were unbeaten since Thomas Tuchel arrived at the club to replace Frank Lampard, but Sam Allardyce had different plans.
Callum Robinson and Matheus Pereira both scored twice, and Mbaye Diagne also found the back of the net in a record-breaking victory.
Pereira was the star of the show, no doubt.
After scoring and assisting twice to deliver four-goal involvements, the Brazilian shared a post on his personal Instagram account sharing how proud he was.
Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes reacted to the post and applauded both Pereira and The Baggies after their incredible performance.
“Como jogas,” which translates to “how you play.”
Fernandes has been incredible for Manchester United since arriving in the Premier League, but Pereira did something he hasn’t yet, and that is perform against the big clubs.
The 24-year-old got a perfect 10 WhoScored match rating, and it was fully deserved.
Pereira had six shots on goal and also completed three key passes as he was a constant danger on the counter-attack against the 10-men of Chelsea, who simply had no answer.
This is the Pereira we have been dying to see for months now, as we all know the quality is there, the final product just had to be delivered more consistently.
With big games against both Southampton and Leicester City coming up, we need more of this from Pereira to pick up some critical points in this relegation battle.
