West Brom have a tricky opponent in Leicester City up next but the squad should fancy their chances against Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Victory over Southampton meant Albion recorded back-to-back wins for the first time this season and Sam Allardyce will be aiming for three in a row on Thursday.
They hold a key advantage over Leicester having had nine days rest over their opponents, who have had just three.
It is a massive fixture for the Foxes, however, as their rivals have closed to gap to third place.
Fifth-place West Ham are just a point behind them and Chelsea and Liverpool are also within touching distance.
West Brom, by contrast, have been all but relegated due to recent results – we are now nine points from safety.
We spoke to a Super Fan from Leicester Fan TV, who is full of confidence ahead of the meeting, and he gave us the lowdown on what he expects to happen at The King Power.
What’s the latest Leicester team news? Do you expect players to be rested after your cup win?
We have a fully fit squad ahead of Thursday with no new injuries and expect the same XI that beat Southampton to play, James Maddison may come in for Ayoze Perez.
Where can Leicester hurt West Brom?
I think we can hurt West Brom on the attack and out wide. Kelechi Iheanacho is on form and he will look to add to his scoring tally on Thursday.
Where do you see West Brom’s biggest strengths and weaknesses?
I think West Brom’s biggest strengths are on the counter and also set pieces. I think their weaknesses are defensively and they can’t cope with pace.
If you could have one West Brom player in your team who would it be?
Matheus Pereira.
What’s your score prediction for the game and why?
I’m going for a 3-1 Leicester win. I think we will be determined to get top four and will want to win the game. I think Kelechi will score.
Do you think Big Sam would have had a better shot at keeping Albion up if he arrived sooner?
Yes I think Big Sam has improved the squad and got the confidence out of the players and shows the players are enjoying playing under him. He would have kept them up.
Would you back him to get us back up next year?
I think if Allardyce is in charge next season and you keep the same squad together without selling any players, then I think you have a good chance of coming back up next season.
