Joe Cole & Robbie Savage blown away by West Brom ace Matheus Pereira
Robbie Savage and Joe Cole have been thrilled by the performances of West Brom ace Matheus Pereira in the Premier League.
The Brazilian has scored three in his last three games but hardly had a sniff in the crushing defeat against Leicester City last night.
Cole, in particular, was impressed with Pereira, claiming that some of his performances have been “outstanding” in recent weeks.
Speaking during BT Sport’s live coverage of the game, both Savage and Cole were blown away by the impact of the Brazilian in recent weeks.
“This fella here, Pereira has been outstanding,” Cole said.
“I watched him in the Championship and he was excellent. In this game here, he kept picking up little pockets; his vision and picking out passes, he was a constant thorn.
“It’s taken him a while to settle into the Premier League, but he’s showing the type of form he had in the Championship.
Savage agreed when watching highlights of Pereira; “Yeah, this performance was quite incredible.”

Should Big Sam somehow guide us to survival in the Premier League in the next month, Pereira will certainly be vital to that.
Mbaye Diagne has made a positive difference in the final third since arriving at The Hawthorns on loan from Galatasaray, but he hasn’t been scoring.
Pereira has picked up that baton, and is the only player to have reached double figures in goal involvements this season; eight more than anyone else in the squad.
There have been some complaints about Pereira’s attitude throughout this tough season, but he is certainly proving himself as we hit the business end of the campaign; even if he didn’t do it last night.
