Sky Sports: Sam Allardyce set for West Brom talks, torn on Baggies future
Sam Allardyce is set for talks with the West Brom board on Wednesday over his future after relegation to the Championship.
Sky Sports have reported that there is a clause that allows either party to cancel his contract at The Hawthorns.
The Baggies crashed to a 3-1 defeat against Arsenal on Sunday evening, and it sent them dropping out of Premier League after only one season.
There have been mixed reports all season since Big Sam arrived.
Allardyce was quiet about his future after the games at the Emirates last night and insisted that he wouldn’t be taking any questions.
The Albion have been left impressed with the boss, who is still remaining torn over his future beyond this season in the Premier League.
It will all depend on finances, and if he will be given the assurances that he can bring in his own players and improving the squad to earn promotion at the first time of asking.
There has been a clear improvement since Allardyce arrived.
Slaven Bilic had a squad of players that were desperately unfit, and clearly playing far too offensively and conceded far too many goals.
Big Sam made this relegation fight into more of a battle, and although it didn’t end well, we will go down with many memories, such as the wins at Wolves and Chelsea.
We would all love Allardyce to stick around next season, he has earned promotion from the Championship before, and he could definitely do it again.
