West Brom Super Fans react to Chris Wilder links after Big Sam departure

This is part of a regular series from our panel of West Brom Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our West Brom News Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around The Hawthorns.

West Brom were rocked by the news that Sam Allardyce would be leaving the club at the end of the Premier League season.

Big Sam has finally got a relegation on his record, and admitted that he wasn’t ready to commit to the Baggies long-term.

Ahead of the clash with Leeds on Sunday afternoon, there have already been a long list of names linked with The Hawthorns.

The Express and Star have reported that Chris Wilder is the favourite to take over at The Hawthorns ahead of next season.

West Brom are wanting to employ their next manager who is currently not employed, as it means there is no compensation to pay.

Wilder fits that category and left Bramall Lane slightly embarrassed after their shocking season in South Yorkshire.

Other contenders appear to be the likes of Michael Appleton, but that compensation could mean the Baggies look elsewhere.

We asked our esteemed panel of Super Fans over on Facebook this afternoon whether they would want to see Wilder on the touchline next season.

Surprisingly, it appears as though they want the Baggies to go in a different direction, especially after his failures at Sheffield United during this campaign.

Here are some of the best responses below…
