West Brom Super Fans want Okay Yokuslu to sign permanently

This is part of a regular series from our panel of West Brom Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our West Brom News Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around The Hawthorns.

West Brom will likely see four loanees depart this summer so we asked our Super Fans which player they would be most keen to sign permanently.

Conor Gallagher played the entire season and though he impressed at first, his performances did tail off a bit.

Some feel he lacks the quality of Okay Yokuslu or Ainsley Maitland-Niles, with the former the number one pick of our Super Fans.

He joined in January alongside Maitland-Niles and Mbaye Diagne but had the biggest impact according to the responses below.

Yokuslu tightened up midfield and made the team much more difficult to break down, recording 2.4 tackles and 2.2 interceptions per game [WhoScored] in an Albion shirt.

Here are some of the reactions from our Super Fans.

West Brom fans may want Yokuslu but signing him on a permanent basis could prove tricky.

Per The Athletic, Yokuslu would not be opposed to staying at The Hawthorns, and parent club Celta Vigo could let him leave since he is surplus to requirements.

However, his form is likely to attract attention from other clubs in the Premier League.

Many teams in the lower half of the division could benefit from a midfielder like him, and given he will not cost a great deal there is a good opportunity for someone to land a bargain.

We hope the fact he feels settled in Birmingham plays into our hands and if we can offer him a good deal to stay then we can begin to build a promotion winning team around him.
